California Dreaming

About 40 years ago, Steve and I began talking about moving to a more temperate climate. I had this romantic picture of California living that put that state at the top of my list. But Steve was more practical. He knew that it was too far away from our parents and that none of us could afford to fly across the country for regular visits. And also EARTHQUAKES! It was before climate change brought devastating wild fires to the area. And the final decision was made to move to South Florida when both sets of parents became Florida Snowbirds. So instead of moving to California we moved to South Florida in May 1982. But I still yearn to see what California living is like.

This book relit that burning desire for the Cali lifestyle. If I can’t live there, at least I can cook like I do. Truthfully it is the epitome of being a locavore. And since we are The Traveling Locavores we will cook and eat like locals wherever our RV is parked. And the recipes in this fabulous new release, Wine Country Table, will be my inspiration for many years to come!
