Little did I know that when we started this virtual culinary journey around the world that it would be the only type of traveling we could do right now! So to refresh your memory, this journey actually began with Lisa and Lars book New York Christmas Baking. From there we took a direct flight to The Lands of the Curry Leaf, next stop was Hong Kong Food City, and we extended our stay in the area with My Asian Kitchen. From there we headed to the Mediterranean for awhile by visiting Turkey (Anatolia) with a deep dive into Istanbul. Then we cruised on over to Spain with some quality time in Barcelona.
Virtual tour of Canada
Now we are continuing our journey north westerly for a visual and culinary tour of Canada with Taste the Wild! In this new book you will be able to experience nature with an adventure in the wilderness. The breathtakingly beautiful photos of Canadian forests, by Sascha Talke, provide the perfect backdrop for recipes inspired by Canada’s diverse landscapes and people.
Culinary inspiration
Who doesn’t dream of setting off into the wild, leaving everyday life behind, to explore new places, taking nothing but a rucksack? I know right now, exploring anywhere is just a fantasy, but at least with books of this nature, we can explore virtually. And then, we can recreate those recipes that were inspired by actual exploration at home in our kitchens. We can taste Canada through its food and be transported.
Tasting Canada
Whether it’s fluffy blueberry pancakes, tender salmon fillet on a cedar wood plank, hearty campfire stew with craft beer or the unique national dish of Canada, poutine, the ingredients and tastes in Taste the Wild pain an enchanting picture of forests and water, plenty and simplicity, campfires and wilderness.
