As we drove out of Las Vegas we were so excited to be heading to Arches National Park that we didn’t ever know that we were taking such a scenic Drive to Moab Utah.
It wasn’t until the desert gave way to more mountainous terrain that we realized what we had in store. The highway appeared to be carved through the mountains. And those mountains changed colors as we drove through Arizona and then Utah. To merely called the ride scenic is a gross understatement!
We experienced such varied weather along our route that it was astonishing. Driving out of Las Vegas the sky was a little overcast but the weather was warm. Our drive along I-15 gave us intermittent showers. And by the time we got to Orangeville, Utah a snow storm was brewing. And we could see that it certainly was one of many. We drove though the snow and then dense fog. But as we got closer to Moab, the sky cleared and the sun came out revealing our stunning destination.
The OK RV Park was welcoming and adorable. There were even Tipis that campers could rent!
At this point I am going to let my photos tell the entire story of our scenic drive to Moab Utah!
