As we continue our little virtual trip around the world we return to New York where we began with New York Christmas Baking, also by the team of Nieschlag and Wentrup. This time they have teamed  up with photographer Lisa Cawley for the gorgeous photos of New York City.

A melting pot

New York City is such a melting pot of cultures from around the world. There are not many other cities as international or diverse as the Big Apple. New York’s many different cultures and nationalities reflect the various waves of immigration throughout America’s history. The range of culinary influences ranges from hot Asian stir-fried noodles to spicy Mexican burritos and Jewish shakshuka.

This cookbook, New York Capital of Food, is dedicated to this melting pot on the Hudson River. It is a true treasure trove of delicious recipes, fabulous images and beautiful stories. The love that the authors and photographers have for this city and its diversity is evident throughout the pages of the book. NYC is most definitely a place like no other.
