Milwaukee’s Summerfest has the honor of holding the title as the biggest music festival in the world. So if you are music fans it is not to late to plan a visit to Milwaukee for the end of June or beginning of July. I can tell you that The Traveling Locavores are huge music fans and this event is definitely on our radar.
According to The Ultimate Guide to 2019 Music Festivals Thrillist, “Summerfest holds the title as the biggest music festival in the world, and it takes this very seriously. They may run things a little differently — don’t expect a weekend of running from stage to stage — there are over 12 stages with sporadic, individual concerts featuring dynamic lineups to score tickets to, amalgamating into a total of 800 acts from major stars to local groups in just about every scene imaginable.”
Summerfest in Milwaukee, WI has announced five headliners for the amphitheater for 2019 so far with more to come as well as full line up, announced so far: the Zac Brown Band on June 30, Thomas Rhett with Dustin Lynch, June 26; Jason Aldean and Kane Brown, June 28; Bon Iver with Lord Huron and Julien Baker, June 29; and Ozzy Osbourne with Megadeth, July 4. Also added to the line up is Jennifer Lopez! She will be presenting her IT’S MY PARTY show on July 3 at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater. And joining her will be World of Dance featuring The Lab, Swing Latino and Briar Nolet. In addition, the following headliners have been added to the festival stages lineup: Bleachers, Tori Kelly, T.I., Lifehouse, Liz Phair, The Strumbellas, and JOHNNYSWIM.And the list keeps growing!
The festival, which had its debut in 1968, is now in it’s 52nd year combines the best live music acts with our favorite parts of summer – food, family, and festivities. With over 800,000 attendees last year,
