Ever since our first visit to an alpaca farm in Oregon, I have been on the search to visit more of these precious animals. So I was thrilled to learn of an alpaca farm that was really nearby our campground in Medina, Ohio!

Majestic Meadows Alpacas Ohio

At Majestic Meadows you will have a unique interactive experience with alpacas, as well as the many other sweet animals. You actually have a chance to get up close and personal with all of the animals on this farm. Their animals are friendly, gentle, approachable and just plain adorable.

Me and the Alpaca

We had such a good time hand feeding the sheep, llamas, alpacas, goats, miniature Mediterranean donkeys and more. But, what was even more fun, was watching the reaction of the children experiencing these animals for the first time.

In addition to all of the animals I mentioned there are also miniature horses, miniature pot belly pigs, otters, porcupines, capybaras, micro miniature Highland Lowline Cross Belle cows, red and gray kangaroos, wallabies, turkeys, dromedary, Bacterin camel, Sulcata tortoise, Flemish Giant rabbits and an Armadillo. It’s practically an entire zoo.

Majestic Meadows Alpacas is a family affair. It all began almost 30 years ago when Jeff and Faye Farley met Jerry and Libby Forstner. The Forstners, who were the owners of one of the most prestigious alpaca breeding programs in North America at Magical Farms, introduced the Farleys to the delightful world of alpaca farming. Before the Forstners retired Jeff and Faye volunteered at Magical Farms. That gave them the experience they needed and allowed them to learn everything they could about alpacas.

Who could resist that cute smiling face?

Jerry and Libby are the reason they took that leap of faith into farm life by buying 20 acres of land.

It’s all Black and White

Because of that experience with them that they were able to grow their alpaca herd. What also grew was a family bond between the Farleys and Forstners. Majestic Meadows started off as an alpaca farm but Jeff and Faye’s love and desire to raise other animals on the farm took them in new directions.

Majestic Meadows Alpacas continues to be a family affair run by Jeff and Faye Farley along with their son Kurt and his girlfriend Renée, their daughter Brittany and her boyfriend Evan, along with others who have now become part of the farm family. It takes a team to handle all of the day to day workings of the farm, the fields and the stores.
