After spending a couple of months at the Jersey Shore, we were ready to move on. The day after we arrived at our next destination, Pickens SC, we realized that we really needed to go for groceries. So we officially started our time with our wonderful son and daughter in love, with breakfast out at Jimmy’s Family Restaurant Easley SC. That was followed up with lots of shopping at Publix, Costco, Aldi, Trader Joe’s and a couple of others that weren’t available to us at the shore.

Jimmy’s Family Restaurant Easley SC
Living in rural, western South Carolina is beautiful. The area has breathtaking views and small town charms. We so enjoy this relaxed time that we spend with Brian and Eve. It’s was absolutely – the best!!! But the down side is that you have to drive a good distance to get to all of those places we like to shop.
The fun part is that shopping becomes an outing. And what better way to start an outing than we a hearty breakfast out? Jimmy’s Family Restaurant, in Easley SC is one of Brian and Eve’s local favorite places, so that is where we went.
As soon as we walked in, Steve and I could totally understand why our son and DIL like Jimmy’s Family Restaurant. The diner-esque place is cheery, bright and welcoming. And the portions are robust and delicious.

Brian’s Scrambled Eggs, Bacon, Shredded Has Browns and Pancakes
Brian, who is 6′ 5″ tall, enjoys a large variety for his breakfast out. If there’s an option for a combo breakfast, he’s gonna order it! I believe Brian had Jimmy’s Special #1, 2 eggs, 2 pancakes, bacon, sausage and shredded hash browns.

Steve’s Scrambled Eggs with Bacon, Hash Browns and Buttered Toast
Steve had fluffy Scrambled Eggs with Bacon and Shredded Hash Browns. The eggs were perfectly cooked as was the bacon. And the hash browns had lots of crispy bits throughout.
For me and Eve, it’s Bennies all the way! On those rare occasions that we actually eat breakfast out, the first thing I look for on the menu is Eggs Benedict. Eating at Jimmy’s was no different. There were other interesting choices such as Tennessee Benedict on English muffin with country ham, Easley Benedict on biscuit with beefsteak and gravy and Southern Benedict on biscuit with sausage patties, scrambled eggs and gravy.

Traditional Eggs Benedict
But we both went for the traditional Eggs Benedict on toasted English muffin with Canadian bacon, beautifully poached eggs with runny yolks and an ample blanket of lemony rich Hollandaise. My starch choices were grits, shredded hash browns or diced hash browns. I opted for the diced potatoes which were nicely browned and crisp on the outside with creamy interiors.
Everything we had was really delicious and tasted farm fresh! Our tummies were full and we were ready for our full day of food shopping.
