Our next stop was CreekFire RV Resort and Campground Savannah, Georgia for a few glorious days.
After an amazing few days at Sunkissed Village RV Resort we headed out of Florida for the first time in quite a while. We knew we had to be in Myrtle Beach, SC to meet our son and daughter in love on July 3 so we wanted to select a location somewhere in the middle between our last stop and that one. Savannah was ideal as was CreekFire.
New park new friends
This was another relatively new park, about two years old. It was extremely well located just off I95 and close to shopping and historic downtown Savannah. After getting set up and a long drive we settled in for the night. The next day I needed to get some writing done so Steve went to the pool to give me some quiet writing time. Just as I got my next post finished he came back to get me. He had made some new friends at the pool (keeping the appropriate amount of distance, of course) and he wanted me to meet them.
The pool area was very large and really gorgeous. And the friendship is what most RVers are looking for. We love learning from others. The two couples were locals. One couple had recently become full timers and the other couple still had a few more years until they could join our ranks. We all enjoyed discussing food and favorite dining spots. But we are wary of dining out during the pandemic unless we can eat outside and be social distanced from other diners. They all agreed that we should try a place downtown called Little Duck Diner, which I will tell you about in my next post.
Amenities galore
CreekFire RV Resort is huge and still growing. They are working on a second large kiddie pool and a Lazy River as we speak. They have over 200 camping sites for RVs and tents. And the list of amenities is very extensive. They have an enormous Event Tent which brought back great memories of our catering years. They also have a gorgeous Clubhouse, Bocce Ball Courts, fire pits at each RV site. But wait. There’s more. Pool Pavilion/Laundry/Bathhouse/Ice, Main Pool/Kids Pool/Spa, Tennis/Multi Court/Basketball, Playground, Pool Bar and Grill, Lakehouse Restaurant, Cabins, Store/Gym/Spa and the list goes on! They even have the largest chess set we have ever seen. Don’t you agree? Check it out. The chess pieces are Hershi sized!!!
This is a fabulous RV resort that we would be happy to return to over and over.
Love it there,PROFESSIONAL,FRIENDLY ,ILL BE BACK
I totally agree Sandy! It’s really a first class park.
