What a thrill to realize that, when we got to San Diego, we had officially driven coast to coast. We did it! Yay us!!!
Climbed to the top of Kill Devil Hill to see where the Wright Brothers took their first flight in Kitty Hawk!
It has been the most amazing ride of our lives. It all began on June 1, when we sold our home and moved into the RV. This adventure has been a dream of our since 2006. It took a lot of planning, research and hard work to make it happen.
We bought Ladybug the day after Christmas 2019 in Franklin NC. We really got to know her with a week’s trip back home to Florida. Right off the bat Steve started working on the renovations. Covid hit. And that began to mess with our time frame. But we refused to let it stop us.
At the end of April we finally put our home on the market and it sold it one day. We had a month to sell off everything that we couldn’t possibly take with us. Somehow we somehow managed to pull that off too.
Due to Covid-19 we had our closing online! Then put the last of our household aboard Ladybug while sitting in our driveway. From there we took the first step and spent about 3 weeks at our first RV park. And then the journey began!
Steve and I would love for you to see highlights from our first 6 months of being full time RVers. There are A LOT of pictures so I am going to let them speak for themselves and shut up now.
