Our time in New Orleans always seems so fly by! Only two days left of our pilgrimage so we decided to really fill them with FUN. As in bayou tour with Cajun Encounters.

Come along with us for our afternoon at Cajun Encounters. This was our second bayou tour with Cajun Encounters the first was several years ago. The bayou is so fascinating that it is worth revisiting many times, especially with as wonderful a tour as this one. (On our last NOLA trip we took an airboat tour with another company, which shall remain nameless, that was quite lame to say the least!) And we picked a day with perfect weather because it was warm, but not hot and steamy as New Orleans can be.

Although we have only taken their New Orleans Swamp Tour, their are three other tours that Cajun Encounters leads that I know are as just as good. They also offer a Walking Tour, Plantation Tour and New Orleans City Tour. Hmmm which one should we take next?
Our return visit was just as wonderful as our first tour just with a different guide. I highly recommend taking one of their tours so you can see the magnificent ecosystem. I do have to admit that my two favorite things were the peaceful sounds of the wetlands and watching the alligators devour hotdogs and marshmallows. Not together of course. You know first the entrée and then dessert.

Thanks so much Patricia! Always happy to learn that my info is helpful. When you have time you should search my site for other places of interest in New Orleans. It our favorite city and we have visited often. A couple of things you should put on your list are the Bestoff Sculpture Gardens and the World War II Museum. The sculpture gardens are on 11 acres with fabulous art nestled among the landscaping. The WW II Museum is another spectacular attraction with many facets, including a not to miss film narrated by Tom Hanks. I have also written about a ton of great places to eat.
