It’s almost Spring, but I was going through my photos and realized I have lots of photos that I want to share. This blog post is about our late Summer and early Autumn memories of our time spent at Jersey Shore this past year.

We frequently got to enjoy the areas beautiful deer. And when we didn’t see them, one of us would say “Oh Dear! No Deer!”
I think that the best way to show you just how wonderful our time was at the shore, is to use each photo and caption, rather than a VERY LONG POST! Enjoy my album Summer/Fall 2024:

Got to visit my beautiful cousin Ilyse for the first time in a while. When she opened the door and saw what I was wearing she ran upstairs and put her matching dress on. It was fun to be twins, even briefly.

Our hostess with the mostest niece Lysee had us to her home to break the fast of Yom Kippur. We had quite a feast, as you can see!

This luscious cucumber salad was the perfect accompaniment to the richness of the lox and bagels. We love being with family for the holidays. It was fabulous to be with Steve’s brother, wife and entire extended family.

Each visit to the shore isn’t complete until we’ve had breakfast at Gilchrist

It was a glorious and warm day, so we sat outside overlooking the back bay. Steve had the Chocolate Chip Pancakes.

Gilchrist is known far and wide for their Blueberry Pancakes, so that’s what I always order. They never disappoint. They’re the lightest fluffiest pancakes you can imagine with lots of tart/sweet blueberries bursting in your mouth.

Took a stroll of the boardwalk in Atlantic City and got to see some runners finishing the Atlantic City Marathon.

When I was growing up, the beach was unprotected from erosion. Now it has lots of beautiful reeds and grasses.

Can’t see the ocean through the reeds.

Nowadays the dunes and grasses extend all the way into Ventnor and beyond.

One of the highlights was spending time with this little guy – our Grand Nephew Mav!

We enjoyed a fabulous dinner with friends at a restaurant in the Tropicana Hotel and Casino. Sorry, I don’t remember which restaurant.

A full moon had brought flooding to this street. But when it reopened we enjoyed the setting sun.

Sunset over the Bay

Our Grand Nephew Mav with his Bubie (Grandmother). Sheri is my sister from another mister.

Definitely fun in the sun! We had an awesome day on the water with Steve’s brother Hal and is adorable pup Kelce.

Lunch at Ventura’s Greenhouse with a perfect view of Lucy the Elephant!

Lucy in all her glory

We even got to surprise Sheri for her milestone birthday.

As you can see we were very well fed at Sheri’s surprise birthday lunch.

Stella Italian Restaurant in Ventnor, did an amazing job of catering and making us all feel welcome.

The theme was 70s so we all dressed the part and boogied til we just couldn’t boogie no more!!!

And, of course there were plenty of White House Hoagies and Cheesesteaks while we were at the shore.

White House Sub Shop is world renowned. There are photos of every celebrity that’s eaten their subs. And I mean hundreds of photos. Some are so old that you can barely make out who it is! On our last visit for 2024 we randomly sat at a booth. When we looked up at the photos we couldn’t believe whose photo was right in front of us. Bobby Flay is my very favorite chef!!!
